Dear colleagues,

The auxiliary craft has completed the survey of the fourth and final accessible sector of Deep City. The anomalous energy source detected upon our arrival has now been precisely located.

The signal does not originate from a distributed power system or from a buried structure. Instead, it comes from a single point on the inner face of the fourth block. After comparing its geometry with the other surveyed sectors, the expedition concludes that this location is an entrance leading into the interior of Deep City’s fourth block.

The existence of this energy source remains extremely difficult to explain. Deep City collapsed approximately between 2361 and 2365 CE. More than four decades have passed since that event. No known energy system should remain operational after such a long period in a completely isolated environment without maintenance.

For that very reason, the expedition has decided not to enter.

Any attempt to access the interior would inevitably alter the site before we fully understand how it functions. The entrance will remain sealed until the complete virtual reconstruction of Deep City as it existed before the collapse has been finished. Only then will we be able to compare both models and determine which structures survived intact, which were destroyed, and what role this energy source originally played within the city.
