After processing the latest recovered Ilghal fragments, I can now confirm a hypothesis that until recently remained only a marginal suspicion: the levitating head is not just another module of the robotic structure—it’s the actual robot. The body attached to it—torso, arms, and lower limbs—appears to be a functional extension, interchangeable according to the assigned task or operational environment.
The reconstructed image shows the head emitting a stable red internal glow, consistent with what we identify as the Sic-Core, a micro-processor capable of generating a levitation field and controlling multiple external bodies with no perceptible latency. The suspended chest and abdomen reveal non-mechanical magnetic anchors, reinforcing the concept of a posthuman, modular, adaptive design.
Emotionally, I find it unsettling to consider that Morris Sic may have developed transferable consciousness units capable of abandoning and replacing their own physical support at will. But the data leaves little room for alternative interpretations. If this head is indeed the original form, each attached body would be nothing more than a temporary tool—a “suit” for interacting with Deep City’s environment. The autonomy and cold precision of the design reflect the initial purpose of the enclave: to survive when the world no longer could.
Pending final verification, but increasingly likely: the bodies are expendable; the core is not.
