Deep City Timeline

Deep City Timeline. Eight images trace the project’s history from the 2053 Revolution to the Ørbital Expedition in 2407.

The following images establish the canonical timeline of Deep City Project. Rather than telling a single linear story, they define the major historical milestones that connect the project’s multiple narrative timelines.

General Timeline

* 2053 CE → Revolution and the collapse of civilization.
* 2101 CE → The Awakening and the disappearance of Expedition EX2101pD-WG, led by Dr. Pit [reloaded] and Dr. Mars Attacks.
* 2101–2365 CE → The construction, rise, and collapse of Deep City.
* 2407 CE / 306 p.A. → Dr. Noam Ørbital leads Expedition EX2407pD-QW to determine what happened to Pit [reloaded] and Mars Attacks. During that mission, Deep City is discovered and its historical reconstruction begins.

Everything begins with the Revolution of 2053, a global conflict that brings about the collapse of civilization and permanently transforms Earth’s surface.

In 2101, the Awakening marks the beginning of a new era. That same year, Expedition EX2101pD-WG, led by Dr. Pit [reloaded] and Dr. Mars Attacks, is launched to investigate an anomaly detected beneath the ruins of New York. Both scientists disappear within a region that would later become known as the Ilghal Zone. Their incomplete reports and the fragmented data they leave behind eventually become the key to locating Deep City.

Meanwhile, between 2101 and 2150, Deep City is constructed and expanded as a vast autonomous underground megacity. Over the following two centuries (2150–2350), it reaches its technological and social peak during what becomes known as the Golden Age.

Its stability begins to unravel during the Logits Systems Crisis (2350–2360), when the systems governing the city’s population start to fail. This leads directly into the story of Pit Matson, set around 2360, whose noir investigation gradually reveals the hidden mechanisms of Deep City and the first signs of its decay.

The story culminates with the Collapse of Deep City (2361–2365), the period currently explored through the project’s visual reconstructions and narrative works.

Finally, in 2407 CE / 306 p.A., Expedition EX2407pD-QW, led by Dr. Noam Ørbital, is dispatched by the Eurasian Enclave to determine the fate of Pit [reloaded] and Mars Attacks. During this investigation, the ruins of Deep City are located, and its history begins to be reconstructed through scientific reports, cartography, and fragments of the ancient technical language known as Ilghal.

This timeline serves as the canonical framework upon which every story, illustration, and reconstruction within Deep City Project is built.
