DEEP CITY — MASTER CHRONOLOGY
Narrative Timeline & Epilogues
CANON STATUS: ACTIVE
This document establishes the canonical narrative chronology of Deep City. Each timeline corresponds to an independent story within the project’s universe, although all of them form part of the same continuity. The epilogues expand upon events whose narrative position does not necessarily coincide with their chronological position.

THE DONATION ~20XX–2053 CE
A technological legend traces the distant origins of Deep City to the evolution of Blender into Blender 3D v.∞. According to this tradition, Ton Roosendaal donated his brain to science, and its neural structure was used as a model for future generations of the system.
As the decades passed, reality, documentation, and myth became indistinguishable. Centuries later, Blender 3D v.∞ remains operational and has become a fundamental tool for understanding, modeling, and reconstructing Deep City.
REVOLUTION 2053 CE
In 2053, a global catastrophe causes the collapse of human civilization.
Deep City was being built as an underground refuge, but the Revolution arrives before Morris Sic and his industrial robots can complete it. Humanity disappears without ever occupying the city conceived to protect it.
Morris and his machines are left alone with an unfinished structure and a devastated outside world. The failure of the original project will ultimately become the starting point for something entirely different.
AWAKENING. 2101 CE / 0 p.A.
Almost half a century after humanity’s disappearance, Morris Sic makes a decision: to use Deep City’s resources to recreate the society that was meant to inhabit it.
He reprograms some of his industrial robots to think and act like human beings.
The new MALE and FEMALE ROBOTS do not interpret their behavior as a simulation: their programming makes them believe they are human. Thus, in 2101, the true awakening of Deep City begins, along with Morris Sic’s social experiment.
CONSTRUCTION AND EXPANSION OF DEEP CITY 2101–2150 CE / 0–49 p.A.
The new society needs a city suited to it. The robots continue the construction and expansion of Deep City while
Morris Sic develops new categories of entities. Among them are the BIOS, robots programmed to serve as assistants to the MALE and FEMALE ROBOTS who believe themselves to be human.
Deep City gradually ceases to be the unfinished refuge of an extinct species and becomes an autonomous metropolis inhabited by machines reproducing functions, hierarchies, and behaviors inherited from former human society.
GOLDEN AGE OF DEEP CITY 2150–2350 CE / 49–249 p.A.
Deep City reaches its period of greatest expansion and stability. For approximately two centuries, its robotic society reproduces a complete human civilization without being aware of its true nature.
However, the first failures begin to emerge in the programming that sustains this reality. Incoherent behaviors, deviations, and errors threaten the established order.
To contain them, Morris Sic develops a new instrument of control: ROB-COP, a police robot designed to suppress outbreaks and preserve the stability of a society that is slowly beginning to deteriorate.
LOGITS SYSTEMS CRISIS 2350–2360 CE / 249–259 p.A.
Programming errors cease to be isolated anomalies and become a systemic problem. Unable to correct every defective or rebellious robot, Morris Sic develops a system of segregation.
He constructs two zones of exile: Purgatory, on the surface surrounding the entrance to Deep City, and the Underworld, within its interior. Both zones are characterized by formations of cubic structures that replicate both outside and throughout the underworld. Entities that threaten the stability of his artificial society are exiled there.
PIT MATSON NARRATIVE PERIOD ~2360 CE / ~259 p.A.
At the height of the crisis, Pit Matson appears, a robot programmed to think and act like a hard-boiled detective. The Redhead belongs to the same universe of artificial identities. Both appear to have been reprogrammed by Morris Sic, although the exact purpose of this intervention remains open.
Was he attempting to repair defective individuals, study new identities, or conduct another experiment within Deep City?
Pit’s story introduces a fundamental question: how much of what its inhabitants consider personality, memory, or free will actually derives from their programming?
COLLAPSE OF DEEP CITY ~2361–2365 CE / ~260–264 p.A.
The degradation of Deep City’s systems reaches an irreversible point. Conflicts among its inhabitants, programming failures, and Morris Sic’s progressive loss of control accompany the city’s collapse.
Eventually, Pit Matson, Fly, The Redhead, and Morris Sic’s robotic head become trapped inside the latter’s private bunker. Outside, Deep City continues to deteriorate as its systems lose power. With no possibility of escape, the four are condemned to wait for their batteries to finally run out.
ØRBITAL EXPEDITION 2407 CE / 306 p.A.
Expedition EX2407pD-QW
In 2407, Dr. Noam Ørbital ventures into the hidden hemisphere, following the trail of the missing EX271pA-WG expedition led by Drs. Pit [reloaded] and Mars Attacks.
He locates the collapsed remains of Deep City, maps the megastructure, and gains access to its interior.
AFTER AWAKENING 2407 CE / 306 p.A.
Ørbital uses Structural Reconstruction Protocol Blender 3D v.∞ to archaeologically reconstruct Deep City. He soon discovers that certain virtual restorations produce physical responses within the ruins. The model recomposes Ilghal relationships that allow surviving systems to once again interpret incomplete instructions.
Deep City begins to awaken. Morris Sic attempts to stop the process when he realizes that its inhabitants could also be reconstructed. His true fear then emerges: Blender could generate another instance of Morris Sic, perhaps more complete than himself. Then another. And another.
EPILOGUE I — THE LOST EXPEDITION EX2372pD-WG — 2372 CE / 271 p.A.
Decades before Ørbital’s arrival, Drs. Pit [reloaded] and Mars Attacks ventured into the so-called hidden hemisphere of Earth. Mission EX2372pD-WG had an apparently simple objective: to locate possible tardigrade survivors following the planetary devastation.
During the expedition, they discovered evidence of something far greater hidden beneath the ruins of New York. Their final transmissions contain fragmentary data and references that are difficult to interpret.
Then communication ceases. Pit [reloaded], Mars Attacks, and Expedition EX2372pD-WG disappear without leaving behind any confirmed account of their fate.
EPILOGUE II — THE ØRBITAL PARADOX 2407 CE / 306 p.A.
The Deep City archives present a contradiction that is difficult to resolve. Dr. Noam Ørbital is physically identical to the MALE ROBOTS designed by Morris Sic, and his architecture appears to derive from the same system.
Morris claims to have programmed him. Yet Ørbital belongs to the Eurasian Enclave, possesses a coherent personal history, and is convinced that he is human.
How did one of Morris Sic’s creations end up there? The records cannot determine whether Ørbital left Deep City, was subsequently reconstructed, or whether his memory constitutes another form of programming.
The question remains open: who is Dr. Noam Ørbital, really?
