A persistent technological legend places The Donation sometime between the early twenty-first century and the Revolution of 2053.
According to this tradition, Ton Roosendaal donated his brain to science. At some later point, its neural structure was studied and used as a model for the development of future generations of Blender.
It is not possible to determine from the surviving records whether this actually occurred. The fragments contradict one another: dates are missing, some copies appear to derive from other copies, and the technical documentation gradually becomes indistinguishable from mythology.
What can be established is that, centuries later, the system remains operational.
In 2407 CE / 306 p.A., Dr. Noam Ørbital uses the Blender 3D v.∞ Structural Reconstruction Protocol during Expedition EX2407pD-QW to reconstruct the ruins of Deep City.
